Driving Directions

FROM BAR HARBOR,ME: Route 3N to Ellsworth, then take Alternate 1 to Bangor. In Bangor, I-95S to Newport. From Newport, take Route 2 until you reach a stoplight at the junction of Routes 2 & 16 where the Mt. Madison is on the right hand side.

FROM BOSTON: Interstate 93N to Exit 35. Route 3N to 115N to US Rt. 2 East to Gorham, NH. Turn right at the intersection of Rt. 16 and 2, first driveway on the right is the entrance to Mt. Madison Motel.

FROM BURLINGTON,VT: I-89S to Montpelier and then take Route 2E. Stay on Route 2E approximately 90 miles to Gorham. The Mt. Madison will be on your right at the junction of Routes 2 and 16 at the stoplight.

FROM HARTFORD,CT: I-91N to St. Johnsbury, VT and then take Route 2E. Stay on Rt. 2 E approximately 55 min. until you reach a stoplight at the junction of Route 2E and 16. The Mt. Madison will be on your right hand side.

FROM MONTREAL: US Interstate 91S to US Rt. 2 East to Gorham, NH. Turn right at the intersection of Rt. 16 and 2, first driveway on the right is the entrance to Mt. Madison Motel.

FROM PORTLAND, ME: Take I-95N toward Lewiston/Augusta and then Exit 63 toward Gray. In Gray, take ME-26 towards Bethel. ME-26 becomes US-2 and the Mt. Madison is located on the left before the stoplight.

FROM PORTSMOUTH: Take Spaulding Turnpike North to Route 16N. Mt. Madison will be on the left hand side of the street before the stoplight.

We invite you to unwind in our refreshing 50 foot outdoor heated swimming pool as well as our recently-acquired 8 person Jacuzzi, which is open year round. Feel free to take advantage of the gas grills that are located poolside along with the convenient picnic tables and patio furniture. Our convenient in-town location means that you can experience Gorham’s charming shops and exquisite dining establishments just by taking a short, leisurely walk downtown. There are scenic waterfalls and terrific kids’ attractions such as StoryLand, Santa’s Village and Six Gun City that are only 10-20 minutes away, while Mt. Washington, the highest peak in the Northeast, is just 10 minutes from the motel!

72 hour Cancellation Policy:
The MT Madison Motel requires a valid credit card number for any reservation made in advance. If for any reason a guest finds it necessary to make a cancellation less than 72 hours from the arrival date, the cardholder will be charged the full amount of the stay. Large parties, group tours, weddings, etc. must give earlier notification.
